Sturdy, Safe ,Bird Travel Cage

This travel cage is ideal for both parakeets and cockatiels, but roomy enough to contain a single bird. The door closes very securely and tight. The bird is securely contained and cannot open the snug fitting door. I am very happy with this travel cage, it was a great purchase!!!

Good travel cage for budgies

I pretty much only use this to get my budgie to the vet, but it works just fine. It’s very small, but he can just fit on the provided perch without having to duck down.

Great for Short Trips

Great buy - super sturdy and easy to assemble. You can easily accommodate a small/medium sized pet and perhaps even a little food or water cup. I was able to put two of my parakeets (Budgies) into the carrier for a trip to the vet and they were able to move around without being on top of each other. I believe this is the most this carrier could hold comfortably. I wasn't able to fit any food or water cups in there with the birds because it would be too cramped. Please consider how long your trip will be - anything over 2 hours is too long and you should definitely consider a larger carrier.

Simple design Easy to Clean

This is a very small transport cage. We used it to bring our new budgie home and seemed much more friendly than the cardboard boxes used at the store. I took a square of fabric and cut a slit in the middle for the handle to use as a cover and he was perfectly calm on the way home. It made the transition into his new cage easy....simply unlock the lid set it into the base (if cage door is wide like mine) and we let him come out on his own time. As suggested by another buyer I intend to use the base for his bath and play time once he is hand trained and is comfortable coming out of the cage. Will be handy if we need a trip to the vet.

Budgie enjoys it

Great safe traveling budgie cage. Made for a short trip. Just enough room to sit safely till you arrive at the destination. I wouldn’t recommend thinking to put 2birds in here, there isn’t enough room to stretch out definitely would create a problem with 2birds. *when not in travel mode, it’s a play station for my budgie. He has toys in the bottom and climbs all over it like a gym (also how he became use to ibeimg in there. A solid purchase for me.

Too small for a parakeet

This is a great travel cage for a gerbil, hamster, etc but not really a great cage for a parakeet. My parakeet is a standard sized parakeet and she was very cramped. She hated being in there and when she knocked the perch down I had to open up the lid very carefully but the little stinker squeezed her way out between my hand and she was loose in the cab of the car! Luckily, we only had the windows cracked otherwise we would have lost the bird!
