Works for my needs
I needed to replace some Xenon under cabinet lighting that I was using on my desk. I wanted 4 LED pucks, plug in not battery operated, warm light around the 3000K range, with output equivalent to 40 watt bulbs. I did not get all of that. One astounding thing I learned in researching this is that MOST SELLERS DO NOT PUBLISH THE KELVIN OR WATTAGE of their lights. How ridiculous is that? It's like selling clothes without saying what size they are. I realized I was going to have to be prepared to make some compromises. What I did get was a 4 light LED strip that can be EITHER battery operated or plug in, with fairly dim lights but they'll do for now, They are also a VERY cool blue, typical LED. I don't like that but I'm not going to send it back. Pluses - It comes with a remote control, useless for me since the lights are mounted within arms reach but I can see how you could use this strip as decorative up lighting or on a shelf and I can see how the remote would, then, be helpful. The lights are able to operate either off of batteries or plugged in. The lights can be daisy-chained (the connector is included) AND you can then use one remote to operate the string (or so the box says). The lights have a dimmer feature that works from both the switch on the strip as well as the remote. The directionality of these lights is superb. Installation can be done either with screws (template included) or by hook-loop sticky stuff. These are LED's and therefore won't get hot. Negative: wish they were brighter (nothing on the package indicates the wattage - I'm guessing around a 15 watt incandescent equivalent but not diffuse) and much lower Kelvins (incandescent are around 2700, I'm happy around 3000, these are somewhere, imo, around 5000). The lights I replaced created beautiful ambient lighting that was also functional. These are functional only and are dim enough that they are only barely functional. I think part of that, though, is my dislike of the cool color of the light. We'll see. If you don't need really bright light and don't mind the cool color these are ideal with some really nifty features.

Not same light unit as original model LPL1074WRCAC...
Something has changed? The photo with the small remote w/included wall mount, reflects the first light bar with same model number, that I purchased at a hardware store for more money. That Rite Lite bar is 200 lumen output. Nice product even if it seems to eat up batteries when not in use. (Still trying various types of batteries for longer life.) It's tucked away on a soffit above a staircase and used as fairly expansive and bright lighting for power outages and emergencies. Sometimes we leave it on at night when we have guests because it has a dimming feature as well. When dimmed it provides enough light to navigate the stairs and guests don't have to feel around for a wall light switch which is safer. Impressive for the price and size, so decided to buy more for other applications. Just received this new light bar purchased here on Amazon. Exact same model number, but the package states it is only 75 LUMENS (roughly the equivalent of a 10-12 w bulb?) - NOT 200 LUMENS like the original. The remote is longer/larger and does NOT include a wall mount piece. In the Q&A section, someone stated this track is 200 lumens but the new one I received is clearly only 75 lumens even though the model number is the same. The wall mount option can be handy, especially to avoid losing or misplacing the remote, but it is no longer included. I have concluded that even though this is the same model number as the first track light purchased, it is not the same product as the original light strip. The package now lists "Amertac" so wondering if Rite Lite was purchased by AmerTac and they downgraded this product. Probably sending this track bar back because 75 lumens (equivalent to a 10-12 watt bulb output) is not bright enough or acceptable. A standard night light bulbs is 4 watts if you want to compare. In addition, the (other brand ) pack of 6 battery operated puck lights w/remote control purchased here at the same time, EACH emit 55 lumens and take up less space. More light. Some things to consider before buying. This could be good option if you want a little mood lighting or night lights in an area, or perhaps to softly illuminate a piece of art. Some things to consider. Hope this helps you in some way. Update November 2017: Just spoke with AmerTac customer service who confirmed that the company "altered or adjusted" the original lights but kept the same model number. The "new, adjusted" light now has only 70-75 lumens, not the original 200 lumen output, and the remote control is different and no longer includes the remote control wall mount. How misleading to keep the original model number but degrade the specs of the product. (Note: These should not be more than approx. $25 retail; and not the approx. $49 for the original 200 lumen light bar. Be sure you get what you think you are paying for.)

Dart Light (Updated Review)
I've had the light installed for a couple of months now and have had to take away 2 of my original 5 stars. The battery use became excessive and I had to convert to the included AC adapter to keep the lights consistently bright. That isn't a big problem. However, as has happened to many others, the remote completely stopped working a few weeks ago. This was after it became more and more unresponsive. I've tried two different replacement batteries, hoping that was all that was wrong, but this thing just no longer works, so now I have to reach up to the ceiling and turn on the light, lucky that I'm tall. I've had this light installed for a week now and I'm very happy with it. It provides an even, pleasant shade of bright light for my dartboard. I had to go with a battery powered unit, because of the location of my cabinet and I've practiced at least an hour per day for the last week and haven't gone through the first set of batteries yet. I originally went with the Viper Shadowbuster that was designed for my cabinet but it had a short that would cause it to flash or turn off whenever a dart hit the board and I had to return it. I'm actually happy that it did, this light is so much better. The light actually covers the entire board and it's a much more pleasing warm color. The Viper light had an awful blue tint and barely lit the top half of the board.

Works OK
works okay, but only comes in 3000K and the power supply fails after about 2 years. I bought two, and liked them, but on each of the two the small transformer that plugs into the wall went out, and the lights stopped working
