Very sensitive

Good rod. What you might expect from from St. Croix's high end. The only con I see is that I can do better thread work on the guides than they do. Otherwise, fun rod to fish.

Love and Hate Relationship.

I love how this rod performs, plenty of backbone, and sensitive enough to detect and feel the slightest bites from a walleyes or whitefish on the ice. however after several outting and numerous hookset the cork handle started to separate from the rod and the rubber winding check came apart. It was alot cheaper to reapply apoxy than a warranty return. Performance a 5 start, quality it's going to be a 3. This rod did not match the above photos description, did not come with a the colored green tip as shown.

Wrong Rod Was Sent

They're great rods, but I can't recommend buying them on Amazon. I thought I got a great deal on the Medium Moderate Action dead stick rod. What I received was a 24in UL Legend Black with a spring bobber. Something I would never use and now over paid for instead of getting a good deal.

It’s a sweet wally rod. In or out doors. Sensitive tip. Good back bone for perfect hooksets.

Looks great but....

I was looking forward to getting the rod and putting it to use but the CI28MLXF came with nothing to attach my reel with on the rod. Please inform me of what I am to be looking for to attach a reel to the split cork rod.
