I would strongly recommend this shirt this time

I'm that kind of person who usually doesn't have enough motivation to write any review. However, I would strongly recommend this shirt this time. I was trained as a goalie from childhood, and played for my varsity team for years. For now, I have 5 teams to play on every week. After getting this shirt, I felt nice but not quite dramatic. It was the time recently during an indoor game that I didn't put this shirt on, I discovered the difference!! I felt really bad on my elbows. Then I realized that a good shield shirt is like this. Usually you don't feel it when it's on. But your body can definitely tell how bad it is when it's off.

I'm 5'11'' and 170lbs. I got the Medium and they fit super tight. It's not so tight that it restricts my movement on the field so maybe I'm nit picking here. The padding on shoulders, chest, sides, and elbows are all just okay. They're not as thick as I thought or hoped it would be. Overall, for the price, I'm not sure if I'd buy it again. Amazon seems to offer a lot of different choices so if you're looking for something that's a little more comfortable with thicker padding, I'd suggest looking for another product.

Dress right, if you wear medium size shirt buy a large

Excellent, in other reviews someone complained for the wears in part of the shirt, but this is the purpose of the product, if you are not wearing protections all that wearing would happen to your skin. Other than that... absolutely necessary for turf, I've been goalkeeping for 20 years, I wish I had something like this available when I started.

Wonderful protection and quality

My primary under shirt for HvZ, the compression padding adds needed protection without the bulk. Water wicking fabric makes sweating in this a literal breeze. I absolutely love it and would definitely buy it again. I don't think I'll need to though. The stitching on this shirt's seems is very heavy duty.

One happy goal keeper

I ordered this for my son who is a goal keeper in high school. He says the padding is amazing and "stays put" on the shoulders and elbows. I think the chest pad also increases his confidence by knowing the hard shots won't bounce off and be fumbled. It is quite difficult to get on while sweaty, so plan ahead. Size is fairly true.

good quality product

A well made, good quality product. Protection where it's needed, and the compression fabric helps that protection to stay where it's required. Attractive design means it can be worn alone. Does not restrict freedom of movement. Recommended.

Good quality

A good quality item that keeps its promises. The top runs a little small, I feel this is purposely done so as to keep the padding where it is needed to offer the protection in the places that are usually put under stress. The material is good quality with "breathe- ability " and it wicks moisturiser away from the skin to keep you comfortable. It is comfortable to move in, with no restrictions around joints and it has an anti microbial quality to deal with bacteria. The 82% nylon 18% spandex ( or Lycra as we call it in the uk) ensures that it has a good stretch to it and it it is well made with good, strong stitching. There are no tag style labels to deal with either, the washing instructions come on a sticky label on the back of the neck, so it is a good idea to peel and keep this sticker. The washing instructions are: Cool machine wash ( no temperature given but this is usually around 20/30 degrees) Do not bleach Do not iron Do not tumble dry Do not dry clean This information is given in symbol form only on the label. Our resident goalie is impressed- he is just under 6ft tall with a slim build and is comfortable in the medium size.

Great protection

I play mostly on turf as a goalkeeper and found this to be lightweight enough with just enough padding to ensure I don't get hurt.

I would recommend getting the next size up....my son is a Small Adult for tops but it was a bit too snug....got Medium....fits perfect.
