Ok is all I can say about this item

It is replacing another product that I believe works better. I will at least give this one a chance but not 5 stars.

Perfect in every way

This is everything I've ever wanted in a thermometer. It turns on instantly, is easy to read, and gets an accurate temperature in about five seconds or so. Just do NOT get water anywhere near the electronics at all. I learned that the hard way with the first one, and even after opening it up and drying it, it stopped giving accurate readings, and i needed to buy another one. When sticking it in something, just stick it in a few inches so that most of the tip remains clean. When cleaning, make sure to use a damp washcloth and just clean off the metal part, and never get any water, soap, hot cocoa, or tea anywhere near the actual electronics of the thermometer.

Old one finally had the probe die.........These are GREAT UNITS!!

After a number of years, our original 1 had the probe die.......This is a direct replacement! Love these and how well they work!!!! No brainer to get another!!

Simple to use

I purchased this unit because I really wanted to know what temperatures the chicken and steaks were at when I was removing them from the grill. As far as it goes, this appeared and was the simplest one to use. It display is easily read, the accuracy is +- 3 degrees of it reading. I like the compact feature. You twist it open, and insert it into the chicken or steaks. It is easy to clean and store.

Not the most reliable

I love these but they don't seem to be the most reliable for the longest. Out of the three I've purchased over the years one started having issues with the display and accuracy about 6 months in. However I like these enough that I've simply bought another to replace it.

Easy read, quick, accurate and the best thermometer I've used for steaks, chicken, roasts, pork tenderloin,and schnitzel.
