it is ok for the price

For the price this core bit is fine. It is not a well balanced bit nor is it exactly round. It wobbles enough to cut a hole with a diameter of 4.25 which was ok in my application. I would have preferred to have spent 50% more for a bit that is well balanced and round. Use a template or jig to get started, take it slow and establish a groove before picking up the pace with your cut.

Worked like a charm

Worked fine I went through my cinder block foundation with it to install my coal stove. Don't forget to buy the 5/8 arbor for it that can't be found at just any hardware store. I did have to fabricate a pilot center point to help keep the hole true. I threaded a 5/8" hex bolt cut the head off and sharpened with a diamond blade grinder

Nice!

I had to search a bit to find an arbor setup that worked for me (this doesn't come with one), but the speed with which I was able to bore a hole through brick and block was impressive. Seems it will be a long lasting tool. Great value here.

Quality vs Price

Shaft bends if you get it in a bind but well worth the money for the 3 times I've had to use it.

Cutter oversized by 3/16 inch.

Actual dia 4 and 3/16 inch outside dia, will be a little bigger when used in concrete. But looks like good quality if you can use the larger size.
