Wanted to like this bag

The quality of material/hardware is sturdy & very well made, so much so that it is heavier than I expected. Dimension/size is good for daily use, you would be wearing the bag and not the other way around, as often is the case for me with hobo bags (I'm 5'4"). The two buttons on the front are just accents, I thought there may be a quick access pocket there, alas it is a zippered pocket. Product description says that there are RFID card slots but there aren't any, just a large inner zip pocket that's RFID. There's yet another zipper on the outside to expand the bag by...about an inch. There are a lot of zippers & I think that's where the weight comes from. Despite having all those zippers, the bag's functionality is pretty basic. I wished it offered more organization and convertible abilities such as credit card slots, quick access pocket, or something like when it's unzipped to expand, maybe a bottle or thermos holder will be revealed, etc. The bag was not big enough to fit both my slim thermos and my wallet even when expanded. hmmm, if only I could have taken my cards out from the wallet and stored them in the credit card slots inside the bag...???? oh right, there aren't any. This bag may work for some but it fell short of my expectations.

This is a great bag, fabric is absolutely beautiful for being so durable and practical

I bought two different cross-body bags to see which one worked better for a trip. This bag was absolutely beautiful -- the color is rich and gorgeous and the fabric just knocked my socks off, so soft and rich-feeling, while still being practical and providing all of the features you want in a travel bag. It's actually a really nice size and the expansion feature was great. I ended up returning this bag only because I couldn't skinny down the vast amount of stuff I carry around quite this much. I kept the other Travelon bag I bought because it's a bit bigger and just worked better for taking on a trip -- it has bottle pockets on each side that will be good for stashing a water bottle on one side and a compact umbrella on the other, etc. I've always carried around a purse the size of a small suitcase so I'm taking the first steps toward reducing my "baggage". I'm still thinking about this one and may end up repurchasing it to be my everyday purse, it's really that pretty.

The fabric is very soft. It can hold my 32 oz insulated bottle when extension is opened up.

Great Bag but didn't hold up

I love the design of this bag and it was so convenient to use when I was traveling to places famous for pick pocketers. I had to return it because after a month of using it the lining shredded at the seams. It looks like the seam allowance was so minimal that it couldn't withstand the stress of opening and closing the main zipper. I am very careful with my purses but this one just didn't hold up. Too bad because it had all the elements I wanted and an attractive looking bag. I had one from PacSafe a number of years ago and that one was much better made.

Great features, smooth upscale material

I have seen Travelon bags before but didn’t buy them because they were clunky and the material wasn’t comfortable. This online has nice smooth nylon similar to a Tumi bag. Nice features, lots of zipper pockets with zipper clips to hold them closed, and an expansion zipper around the bottom for travel when you start to have to cram in snacks and gum and extras along the way. The only odd thing is the RFID interior pocket is along the front of the bag, behind the front pocket but inside the main compartment. It seems mor le obvious to put it along the back panel of the inside. Other than that, it’s a great bag. Inside there are two upright slots, one RFID zip along the front interior and one regular zip along the back interior. Then there are a front exterior pocket zip which doesn’t clip closed - maybe for sunglasses or something- and an back zip that does clip. This inside is tan so you can find things. Also the lining can bunch a little because it has to expand with the expansion zipper. Overall very useful for a trip or everyday use. And stylish enough for going out.

Travelon Winning Design

The Parkview Travelon Bag is the best I’ve purchased so far. The smooth material, adjustable thinner but strong straps, and sleek design are perfect for everyday or travel use. Even the main bag is expandable without losing its shape. The zipped pockets inside and out along with the correctly sized open compartments allow a cell phone, cell-phone battery pack, glasses, tablet or Kindle, and make-up to fit. Easy access, slim profile, organized compartments, tailored shape, and cross-body or shoulder adjustable straps: What could be better? I also got Travelon’s security features and slash-proof material to discourage pick-pockets or digital identity theft. I can still open my own front door locks easier with an attached keychain and light. I only wish I had waited to get the $10 savings, lowering the price from about $85 to $75.

Very pretty but too small

Very attractive purse… super soft luxurious feeling fabric. Love the security features and light inside the bag. But it’s too small for my traveling purposes. The “expandable” zipper isn’t very pretty and doesn’t expand much at all… maybe half an inch. The lining and pockets inside are quite “poofy” with lots of fabric, making it feel even smaller. Retuning and going for a larger size Travelon bag.

Really good product, even better live!

I read all reviews and decided to buy this purse. I was surprised when I got it as it is even more beautiful live than the pictures. The fabric is soft and yet firm, show good quality, beautiful color (wine), several internal compartments, good for organizing things the way I like to do. The zippers metals are beautiful as they are not shiny as regulars purses metals. I really liked this purchase.

Great bag!

I bought this bag for walking around on day trips in Brasil. I like that I can unzip it to hold more stuff. I can comfortably hold my wallet, passport, phone, kindle, some makeup products, snacks and portuguese cue cards. The clips on the zippers made me feel safer walking around and the material is smooth and pretty. Great for traveling!

Disappointed in Quality Unfortunately

Pros: Good size. Loved the safety features - felt comfortable using this in Europe for 2 weeks. Cons: After using this for only 2 weeks, the inner liner has been ripping apart at the seams. Disappointing as I love the purse otherwise but would have expected higher quality for this higher price point.
