Modular is awesome. Ensure jacks will fit!

I really like these modular patch panels. Much easier to deal with than the other style for install and maintenance. Just make sure that you get jacks that are narrow enough not to crowd out the other jacks as the port spacing is tight.

Works okay. Keystones are plastic

The actual keystones are plastic. One broke when removing a jack from it. I am going to try to glue it back in, but as is, I cannot even pout a filler in it.

Ease of installation and repairs.

The old-style punch-down patch panels were a nightmare to install and a worse nightmare to fix or change. Having a simple keystone jack, per cable, makes installation as well as repairs or adding new connections a snap, pardon the pun. Color coding your connections, interspersing CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6, CAT7, Phone, etc., is simple. I will never go back to direct punch-down. This TRENDnet Patch-Panel is well made, it is not flimsy. I have used Keystone Jacks from Leviton and Cable Matters, as well as older no-name RJ14 Jacks. Note that older AMP Keystone Jacks can be a pain to extract. These patch panels are also great for female-female Keystone Jacks as well.

Great value, looks good

Fits all the cat6 jacks I had on hand including cable matters 90 degree slim, mono price 90 degree as well as the mono price inline couplers Does not come with rack screws but I assume this is not an issue for most as you will want the same screws across your racks Seems sturdy enough for what it is. No cable support but for the price it’s one of the best out there. Will update review after instal if I notice anything noteworthy

Good Patch Panel

I used to use Monoprice patch panels, but they switched to a dumb curved plastic design that is horrible. This metal patch panel works as it should.

Regular vs HD keystone jacks

This works as expected. For reviewers who complain that some keystone jacks don't fit, I believe this panel is designed for high density jack which has narrower physical dimensions in the rear part of jack (as compared to regular keystones). I'm thinking the reason it's not mentioned in the item description is so customers will buy the suggested TRENDnet products. They're not lying. They're just not giving you all the facts.

Not compatible with regular punch down keystone jacks.

This patch panel is only compatible with slim profile keystone jacks. If you use anything else (I had CableCreation's connectors on hand) you won't be able to fill the panel, after 2 they push against each other and stop you from adding more. It's cheaper to get a panel with pre-installed jacks if you don't already have slime profile keystone jacks.

Perfect 1U Patch Panel

Love the design and the capability to have indicators on each port. I would recommend this product for a network closet. I currently have this in mine, its a great addition to a home/office network closet to provide a clean well organized design. Be aware there are no rack screws that come with this, luckily I had some from left over to use from other projects.

Does what it says

Much needed item to organize my cabinet. My cables where already finished and I didn't want to cut off the ends just to install a patch panel. Simple and well made, does its job as advertised

Amazing quality

Very happy with this patch panel, exactly what I needed. Allows for custom count of keystones to install, no need to replace the whole thing if a single keystone fails!

Good, well made, flexible

As far as patch panels go, it's dead simple. You just snap in your keystone jacks and away you go. I do like that it offers that flexibility. The keystone jacks do have to be of the slim variety.
