Yes, It does dig into your hand but it's sharp and sturdy
I love that these have a warranty as my old pair were "no brand" and lasted 3 years before they stopped cutting on the tip of the blades. I'm using them personally, not for a business, just on my own nails weekly or so. I read some reviews that they dig into your hand. I measured them up to my old pair, and yes, the handles are straight, not curved. So they do dig in, but for me, just doing my 10 fingers and toes, it's bearable in order to get sharp cuts. These things are sharp and hopefully last a long time. If you're using these professionally or to do mani/pedis on other people, I wouldn't recommend these are your hand will hurt inside the palm area. I'm 5'5" woman, average size hands, ring size 5 1/2, so you can compare your hand size to mine.

BEWARE this is a straight cutter nipper, 1/2" jaw too big and much shorter than product specs state
I purchased these Rockhard stainless steel 1/2" jaw cuticle clippers because of the Tweezerman reputation. The clippers were sharp and fit comfortably in my hand with a good grip and solid double spring which performs better than a single spring clipper. I don't recommend buying a single spring type clipper. The one thing that I did not expect was how straight this cutter is. Take notice of it in the pictures. It's an important feature that is not discussed in any product detail for any of the clippers sold on Amazon. I found out after the fact that there are straight cutters and rounded cutters. I think I previously had a rounded cutter in comparison because this cutter doesn't seem to cut around the contour of the cuticle as good as the previous clippers I had. Because of how straight cut this clipper is, it feels more difficult to navigate around the cuticle and you have to be careful when using it that you don't cut too much at one time. The other thing to consider when buying a clipper is the jaw size which I knew about before my purchase. But I feel like the 1/2" jaw seems a bit larger than what I previously had which may be contributing to why it feels like the cutter is too big or maybe it's solely because of the straight cut feature I'm not sure but it sure feels like the jaws are bigger. I was ok in buying the 1/2" jaw at the time of my purchase because in my research for the best clippers to buy, the 1/2" jaw is what most articles claimed people typically used and I didn't think to check what size clipper Imcurrently had. However, after using this clipper compared to my experience with my previous clippers, I think I may have had a "curved-cutter" and the smaller 1/4" jaw. I think going with a smaller jaw is definitely better because it gives you better control. So next time I will definitely look for the curved cutter feature and buy the smaller 1/4" jaw as well. I would seriously consider these two features when selecting a clipper to purchase since the straight versus curved cut is not addressed in any of the product details. The only way to maybe tell is by the product's pictures. Other than these considerations, it is overall a good quality clipper if you're ok with a straight-cut 1/2" jaw clipper. UPDATE November 14, 2021. After using this cuticle nipper for a few days, it became very uncomfortable to use. The two handles of the nipper would dig into my palm every time I applied pressure when closing the jaws. Take a look at my picture with nippers in my hand and notice where the handle lands within my grip. So I decided to measure the size of the nipper which measured less than 4.0"L inches. I know that during my research in selecting a nipper I was looking for a 6.0" inch nipper in length. So I checked the product's details and sure enough the dimensions ‏are supposed to be 5.5 x 2.5 x 0.9 inches; 1.6 ounces for this model 3196-R. Yet, the actual dimensions when measured were 1.6+ inches shorter than advertised. True measurement is 3.875 x 2.25 x 0.7 inches. SEE PHOTOS. I would say that the discrepancy and variations in dimensions is not an Amazon issue but probably more like a TWEEZERMAN issue since the manufacturer provides the product details to the sellers. I say this also because when I googled the model on other seller sites including Tweezerman's official site, most don't confirm the model or dimensions. However, it is the only Tweezerman "Rockhard" stainless steel 1/2" jaw cuticle nipper being sold and the only one offered on Tweezerman's site. There were a few sites I found that did note the model 3196-R and dimensions but the dimensions specified varied. For instance, BB shows the model with dimensions at 6.5"L, another seller had them at 6.0"L and as noted, Amazon shows it as 5.5"L. I am going to try to contact the Tweezerman company about this to try to find out what the true dimensions of this model should be and to also make them aware of the inconsistencies happening with the dimensions from seller to seller. Maybe they will fix it. I'm also going to contact Amazon to see if they will allow me to return the item even though I no longer have the packaging because what I received is different than what I actually ordered and it took me a minute to realize the misrepresentation and problem with the dimensions. It is way too small and very uncomfortable to use.

Nice and sharp, but the handle is too short
This is a good cuticle nipper, very sharp and the perfect head size. However, the handle is just a bit too short and tapers off to a point that digs into the palm of my hand when I'm holding it. Buyer beware, it hurts! Good otherwise.
